Big Jay SorensenNew Jersey native BIG JAY SORENSEN, most recently of classic hits outlet WJRZ, was on hand when the mic was first cracked there on July 4, 1976. In fact, calling the station WJRZ was Jay's idea!

After graduating from Lakewood High School and attending Ocean County College, Jay went on to program a few fabulous radio stations in his home state, even overseeing WKXW-FM's shift from music to talk powerhouse New Jersey 101.5. He has also ambushed the airwaves as both a disc jockey and a talk show host in Philadelphia, Dallas, on Sirius Satellite ... and on the dear departed legendary 66 WNNNNBC.

Jay and his first wife Andrea were married in 1976. They have two children and four extremely cute grandchildren, and reside in Toms River.

Anita BonitaBefore joining WJRZ as morning show co-host and news director, ANITA BONITA had been gainfully employed as a professional comedy writer, a computer tech support guru, a "fit" model, a major league sports reporter, and a Sunday school music teacher. (She discovered early on that a degree in linguistics and music does not provide a clearly defined career path.)

She also worked at a few well-known radio stations in New York City (perhaps you've heard of the original Z-100 Morning Zoo and WNEW-AM?), and her voice has been heard on broadcast outlets all across the country on both commercials and promotional imaging. Please visit www.anitabonita.net for more of the dirty details.

Born in Manhattan and raised in North Jersey, Anita lives in several undisclosed locations along the Eastern Seaboard -- in addition to her fabled summer villa in Poachèd Egg, near Lavalamp.
